We’re incredibly proud to announce that we have been selected the 2011 Dewey Beach Music Conference! For those unfamiliar, it is (according to their website):

Three nights of showcases and two days of demo & mentoring sessions, tradeshow and industry meet & greet events..and unique events such as industry cruises on the bay and VIP parties at outdoor beach clubs.

So…yeah. Pretty friggin sweet, right?

We’re headlining the “A” stage at the Bottle & Cork club on Friday night, September 23rd.

And thus begins our plan to conquer the USA one small state at a time. Rhode Island…you’re on notice.

So, if you haven’t already discovered it, there is a little gem of a bar in Davis Square directly behind the Rosebud diner car. It’s the Rosebud bar and they do some kick. ass. shows in there.

We got a call this past weekend from our buddy Pete Rogier and he was like “Hey, why don’t you guys come play my show next week after my comedy showcase” and we were like “That sounds pretty sweet, we’ll do it if you buy us each a PBR tallboy” and he was all like “Geez guys, I dunno money’s kinda tight” and we were all like “it’s cool, we’ll do it anyway” {TRUE STORY}

So yeah, there’s a comedy showcase at 9pm and we go one when that’s done. Probably like 1030ish.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. We’ve been writing like crazy and we finally got one all tee’d up and ready to rock. So if you’re all like “fuck those guys, I’ve heard their songs” we can be like, “naw man, it’s cool, we got new ones for you now.”

Oh it’s like 8 bucks or something too.

Also, there is a 50/50 chance you get to see drunk Steve D at this show. He lives walking-distance and is out of work for the summer.

For about two years we’ve been asked by just about all of our fans “Are you guys ever gonna play the Hard Rock?” Now, instead of weeping and flailing about confusedly when asked that, we can say “Why yes, we will be there on July the eighth, thank you so much for asking and we certainly hope to see you there.”

He’s going to bring a month’s worth of pent-up stagerage to the show….it might even manifest itself in the form of new material. GASP!
